London-based Christopher Shannon had already worked for the likes of menswear designer Kim Jones and stylist Judy Blame before graduating from Central Saint Martins college. The Liverpudlian designer’s MA graduate collection, which was ripe with sportswear references fine-tuned with an upcountry sensibility, was sponsored by EastPak, Calvin Klein and Levi’s. The core identity of the collection has stayed the same since then and it is still based on performance wear worked to modern and pure-lined but never the less dramatic menswear with clear and plain silhouettes. At this point, Christopher Shannon designs two collections: one under his own name and also a tricot line called ”Kidda”. Alongside designing Shannon has also worked as a stylist for magazines I-D and Homme + Arena. Shannon is also known for his on-point and well-cast shows.
