In 1994 German-born Stephan Schneider graduated top of his class from the Royal Academy for Fine Arts in Antwerp. With his graduation collection he won the prize which gave him the possibility to make a presentation for Paris fashion week. Several international buyers placed their orders and business was set up immediately. In April 1996 the first European flagship store opened in Antwerp. Second followed five years later in Tokyo. Since 2007 Stephan Schneider has been the professor at the fashion department of the Berlin University of Fine Arts. The intention of the Stephan Schneider is to dress the customer in a highly personal and recognizable way. Some decorative elements can be found in his collections in a reduced and structured way that balances between nostalgia and reality. Stephan Schneider designs each fabric himself, while the label has its own production facilities in Belgian factories where pieces are cut by hand and time can be spent on the finest finishing. “I spend half of my time with the textile and half with the silhouette,” he says. “When your textile is strong, you don’t have to invent trousers with three legs.”
This Stephan Schneider shirt is made of 100% cotton flannel and soft 100% polyester fleece. Made in Belgium.
